I was found by a young, smart Staffordshire Terrier while I was working in California.  In January of 2013 I left my job and moved back to my home in Connecticut.  I’ve owned dogs most of my life, but they have always been passive, goofy Labradors.  They were always part of my life.  They never dictated how I lived my life.  All that changed when Lulu followed me back to my car in August of 2012.

Some of the qualities that define me also appear to be some of those that Lulu possesses…stubborn, passionate, no patience, slightly above average intelligence, and Attention Deficit Disorder.  I guess that is why I connect with, and tolerate her antics.  Sometimes I see myself in Lulu, and she reminds me not to over think life.  Being reactive is ok if I just learn to channel my direction and energy.

  1. I’ve been exploring your blog – what a wonderful story. I was really captivated by the change in Lulu, and especially the change in the office atmosphere and dynamics, because of Lulu.
I know it’s been ages (we’ve been without internet for a while) but thanks for the ‘like’ on the post about Bolivia. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Cheers, Alison
